Hvid - Yellow - Red

Hvid (pronounced viiiiiit) makes the most beautiful baby and children's accessories from merino wool. Everything is made in a knitting workshop in Belgium and finished by Hvid himself. The baby collection consists of beautiful blankets, slippers, pacifier cloths, hats and cuddly toys. For the older children there are hats and scarves in season. All items from Hvid are made to order. That is why there is never any question of overproduction and you are guaranteed to have a unique product in your hands.

Wool still has a bit of a dusty image. But wool is making a comeback. Because the material fits in so well with the current sustainability trend. We give you a number of reasons to choose wool.

Wool breathes

Wool creates, as it were, its own micro-climate around your baby. In summer wool absorbs moisture and in winter it retains heat. And that's perfect for newborn babies who still struggle to maintain their body temperature.
Wool is super soft
HVID uses merino wool. This wool from the merino sheep is the softest in the world and does not itch.

Wool is clean

You don't have to wash a wool item that often. It contains lanolin. When wool gets damp, a little lanolin is released, which acts like an antibacterial soap. Therefore, moistening a little and letting it air dry is enough to clean wool.
Wool is anti-allergic
Due to the natural properties of wool, children with allergies suffer less from allergic reactions when wearing a wool item.
